Friendship is a priceless gift
That cannot be bought or sold
Or exchanged with gold or diamonds
For its value is far greater
Than the sky of gold
Gold cannot bring you comfort
Or extend a helping hand
For it is cold and lifeless
It can neither see or hear
And in time of trouble
It is powerless to share
For it has no ears to listen
No heart to understand
So when you ask someone for a gift
Be thankful if he sends Not diamonds, pearls, jade or riches
But the gift of friendship
